Road Safety - Width

To assess the width of CH, you need to count/estimate the kilometres which have a “good width” and "very good width".

A very good width section is for bidirectional paths is at least 4 meters (cycling with 3 people) and on one direction path a very good section is at least 3 meters. For a cycling street the whole width of the street can be taken into account.

A good width section is for bidirectional paths is at least 3 meters and  on one direction path a good section is at least 2 meters. For a cycling street the whole width of the street can be taken into account.

By assessing the very good and good width the tool will automatically calculate the level.  A LEVEL 4 requires 100% Good width and at least 90% very good width.
