Readability tool description

This sign gives cyclists information cycle highways in the region. The colors that are used show the cycle highway they cycle and the other ones. It is placed at the beginning of a cycle highway on a strategic point. People need to have space to stop nearby the sign to take a closer look. It might be usefull at places where two or more cycle highways meet each other. It is not designed as an element to mark the entrance of a cycle highway.

  • gives new and potential users as idea of the scale of cycle highways in the region
  • shows the connection of cities using cycle highways
  • no relation between direction of the sign and direction of the cycle highway (confusing)
  • not all cycle highways are fully constructed
