Readability tool description

One of the wayfinding concepts demonstrated at the F261 has a sign that has a specific shape. This arrow shape indicates the direction which help cyclists to see the (change of) direction from a distance without having the need to read the information. The sign is placed before the decision point (see also ARC-principel) and is easy to see for cyclists since it is placed on eyelevel.

The white sign below the red arrow shows the places that are directly next to the cycle highway.

Functionality
  • See the strenghts of the CHIPS recommened ARC-principle
  • The shape of the signpost shows the direction
  • The color is very clear and recognizable (high contrasts)
  • Hight of the signpost (eye-level)
  • It might be more expensive to make (no results yet)
